Warm up with Ovrload
We’re delighted to welcome Ovrload back to the Fun Run this year. After leading an amazing warm‑up session for our runners last year, they’ve kindly returned to get everyone energised and ready to go once again.
Their enthusiasm, expertise, and community spirit make a real difference to the event, and we’re incredibly grateful for their continued support.
Thank you, Ovrload, for helping us start the Fun Run on a high. Do check out their website Ovrload | Strength & Conditioning Gym
What to wear
This is an outdoor event. Please dress for the weather.
The 2km is off- road and the 5km event is a mix of off-road and pavement running so please ensure you have suitable footwear.
We’d love to see a sea of rainbow colours – Go bold, go bright, go rainbow! Dress in colours that make you smile.
On site facilities
Toilets
Toilets will be available within the community pavilion on the Moor, situated close to the Start/Finish point.
Refreshments
There will be water available for refilling your own bottles in the pavilion.
We’re thrilled to have Blackbirds Nest Mobile Coffee joining us at this year’s Fun Run. They’ll be serving a delicious selection of hot drinks and freshly baked cakes to keep everyone refreshed throughout the morning. Their support adds a lovely community feel to the event, and we’re grateful to have them with us. Thank you, Blackbirds Nest, for helping make the Fun Run even more enjoyable. https://blackbirdsnest.co.uk/
Nothing says celebration quite like an ice cream, and Crown Ices will be joining us on the day to help keep everyone refreshed and smiling. Their support means a lot to our community event, and we’re excited for families, runners, and spectators to enjoy their delicious ice creams as part of the fun. A huge thank‑you to Crown Ices for adding an extra scoop of joy to our day. Crown Ices Ice Cream Van Hire
First Aid
There will be clearly signed First Aid points at the start/finish area of the course.
Taking part
Both of our courses are fun runs rather than races, so we won’t be chip timing the event.
Running with Children
This is a family event and is open to everyone, but please remember that your children are your responsibility. There will be a fantastic team of marshalls positioned along both courses keeping an eye on everyone, but for both runs primary school age children must be accompanied by an adult participant.
Pushchairs
Pushchairs are permitted on both courses, however, please ensure that they are suitable for the terrain.
Dogs
The event site is open to everyone, and dogs are very welcome, but will not be permitted to run either race with a participant. If you do bring your furry friend along then we would ask that you please keep them on the lead.
